Merry Christmas!
25 december 2010 - Koh Chang, Thailand
Dear family and friends,
Merry Christmas! Hope you're all well and enjoying Christmas as much as I am. Right now I'm on the island of Koh Chang (literal translation: island elephant) in Thailand with Papa, Gemma and Wan. I came to Bankok a few days earlier to see my friends Sarita and Kirsten at Sarita's family's house. Did a lot of last minute Christmas-shopping haha before I saw my little sister and my dad again on Saturday. :):):)
Strange to celebrate Christmas in 25 degrees celcius with palmtrees surrounding the fake christmas tree in the lobby. To be honest, I kind of miss the snow and cold of Holland/Scotland's december. And ofcourse not being able to have a christmas dinner before our school's christmas-ball with my friends back home, or eating my Oma's (or M&S's haha) mince pies while opening pressies under the Christmas tree.
But this is pretty cool too haha, I can't really complain right? Planning to go on an elephant ride with Gemma and snorkeling on a Catemeran this week, besides doing nothing sleeping on the beach haha. Although I really should be... studying Chinese! haha, I even brought my books over, but still need to work up the courage to actually open them. Because in 3 weeks I'll have my final exams and the plan is that I pass, get my certificate and then, finally, can come home! :)
Will probably go on a mini-trip to Beijing first, with Steven, Xiao and Javier, so will let you know about that.
Otherwise not much else to tell you guys, so if you have anything you still want to ask me about life in Shanghai/China/something not relating to any of the above, please let me know & I'll try to give you a detailed answer :)

Wens jou ook een hele fijne kertstijd toe met een zo te lezen een fantastische vakantie met je zus en Pa en Lawan.
Jij mist dan wel de 'sneew maar wij missen de zon,ook wel erg lekker.

Dat klinkt wel erg mooi zeg...ben wel een beetje jalours!
Hier voldoende sneeuw en ik zag al mensen op het ijs!
Wij hebben besloten toch maar een boom te nemen en daar ook "pressies" onder te leggen, bescheiden, maar toch even gezellig.
Geniet ervan en maak een mooie tropische Kerst!
